Eazy E Outfitting is your premier multi-species fishing outfitter in the beautiful Black Hills region of South Dakota, which means that we fish for anything from rainbow trout & walleyes to panfish & trophy northern pike! With nearly 25 years of guiding experience + tournament fishing, you can feel confident knowing that I will provide you with an unforgettable experience on the water!

What to Bring
- A current SD fishing license, or valid 1-3 day license. PURCHASE ONE HERE
- Sunglasses, hat + sunscreen
- Warm clothing (Reminder: this is mountain climate – the weather can change without a moment’s notice & is predominantly much cooler during the early morning hours)
- Light rain gear (*I do have one extra rain jacket & pants [size XL] onboard)
- Snacks
- Cooler + ice to transport your packaged fillets
- Patience + a positive attitude
Where & When We Will Meet
We will meet at one of the boat ramps on whichever lake we are fishing – I will be in contact with you 1 or 2 days prior to determine the location. The boat will be in the water prior to your arrival/start time and ready to go. Note: All boat ramps on the lakes we fish do require daily use/parking permits that can be purchased when entering lake access points.
*Full-Day guide trips begin @ 7am MST (6 hours)
*Half-Day guide trips (4 hours) can be adjusted to accommodate the client’s schedule
Guide Trip Rules
- All guided clients (ages 18 & older) must possess a valid fishing license before the trip shall begin.
- All clients must show up on time. Please call and inform me ahead of time if going to be 1+ hours late. Extra time may be negotiated, but will be at my discretion.
- Guests may bring their own alcohol, but excessive drinking will not be tolerated.
- Clients will be held responsible for any damage done to property owned by Eazy E Outfitters if deemed excessive and/or intentional by the guide.
- Inclement weather:
- Being a full-time outfitter throughout most of the year, I pay very close attention to the weather conditions. I will be in contact with you, providing as much notice as possible, in the event of severe weather conditions that may cause our trip to be rescheduled. Your deposit will be moved to another date in the event of inclement weather.
*Fish cleaning/processing is included as part of your trip if you choose to bring some home. Please allow up to 30 minutes for fish cleaning.*
Erik was a HUGE highlight of our Black Hills vacation. We were 2 pair of senior retirees/inlaws that hadn't fished in 30 years (or more), and Erik made us feel like we could start right in and catch fish without a hitch, and he delivered right on cue. We took our family of four out with Erik on his gorgeous pontoon boat at Sheridan Lake, and it was one of those mornings we’ll be talking about for a long time. Our 9-year-old was determined to learn how to fish, and Erik was so patient and encouraging with him—even with all the energy that comes with a 9-year-old who is VERY excited to catch a fish 😂. He was equally thoughtful with our daughter and somehow managed to make everyone feel comfortable, included, and completely at ease. We are all beginners, and Erik met each of us exactly where we were. He had everything we needed, taught us what to do without making us feel like rookies, and—most importantly—we actually caught fish! A lot of them!🎣 But honestly, it was more than just fishing. Erik was such a genuinely cool guy to spend the morning with. It felt like we were hanging out with a friend who just happened to know Sheridan Lake incredibly well and had a boat. 😆 He even helped us clean and prep our fish for a fish fry afterward and gave us local recommendations that turned out to be huge wins for the rest of our trip. We left with fish, full hearts, and some pretty awesome family memories. Next time we’re in South Dakota, Erik is our guy. We’re already thinking about bringing our best family friends and their kids next time, because we know Erik will make that day unforgettable too. Booked a half day with Erik this week for a family fishing day on Lake Sheridan. My 9 and 11 yo kids had no fishing experience, but Erik was a wonderful, patient teacher and had them pulling fish out of the water in no time. The boat and all the gear was top notch and the day was a top highlight of our family trip through the Black Hills. Highly recommended--would absolutely do it again on our next time through the area. Erik brought all the gear, was a very patient and friendly teacher, and had my kids pulling fish out of the water almost immediately. Thanks Erik!4 hour morning charter with 4 adults and 5 kids (12/10/8/6/6). Captain Easy E made it awesome for everyone. Put us right on the blue gill first thing. 100+ in the first 2 hours. Kids could not have been happier and parents were pumped cause we didn’t have to hear the complaints of not catching anything. Back half of trip went fishing for trout. Caught 2 brook trout 13” and 16”, plus a handful of 10” blue gill. Unbelievable lake fishing experience in the black hills. Would absolutely recommendOur day on Sheridan Lake with Eazy E was nothing short of epic. Erik has a beautiful, well-stocked pontoon and was so prepared for our large group of four adults and 5 children ranging in age from 6-11, and we caught at least 100 fish on our four-hour trip! The only negative is that I don’t think our children will ever top this fishing trip in their lifetimes and will forever try to replicate this experience. +2Our day on Sheridan Lake with Eazy E was nothing short of epic. Eric is a true fisherman and an excellent guide. He took really good care of us for an afternoon of fishing on Lake Sheridan. He knows where to find the fish and gave us several techniques that we didn't previously know due to our amateur status of fishing. We caught four rainbow trout and a whole bunch of bluegill, but most importantly we had a great day with Eric. His boat is immaculate and he sent us home with beautifully cleaned filets!! Yum!

My 12 year old son and I had an absolute BLAST with Erik. It’s our first trip to South Dakota and our first time catching Walleye. Erik put us on fish immediately and kept us on them for our whole time on the water. He kept the trip fun and thought of everything. Hands down the best fishing trip I’ve ever been on. The added bonus were the tips for the rest of our trip: places to eat, best drives, hikes, etc. Awesome day with an awesome guide!

I was joined by my wife, daughter, son in law and our two grandkids. Erik's experience and love for fishing is obvious and made for a truly fun experience for all of us. We caught 30+ trout, many in the 23 to 24 inch range. My 5 year old granddaughter caught the 1st and biggest fish of the day. We chose to go on Erik's new tri-tune pontoon which had plenty of room and relaxation for all 6 of us. If you want to catch fish and have a great time I recommend spending it with Erik. My only regret - we didn't do the full day!What a fantastic day we had on Lake Sheridan with Erik! He was incredible with our young daughters and somehow kept us casting for fish nonstop while expertly driving the boat and swapping stories with us the entire time. Calling Erik a multitasker is an understatement! He made the whole experience look effortless. We made great memories as a family and can’t recommend him enough!

+1My dad, brother-in-law, & I spent an amazing day on the water with Eric from Easy-E Outfitters during our recent trip to the Black Hills. During our full-day charter Eric put us on the fish early as we spent the morning fishing for, and catching, the largest Northern Pike any of us had ever caught. After each of us had caught a few nice pike, we our aim to trout and it we spent the afternoon filling the live well with enough fish to feed ourselves and our ladies a grilled trout dinner that did not disappoint! Throughout the day, Eric was a great guide, covering lots of water. Keeping our gear in proper repair, and giving us the lay of the land and lake. He was also just great to be on the water with. All-in-all we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

This was a great time for my wife snd I . Erik helped us find a variety of different fish.Got us on some big fish, Took fish off and baited out hooks. All we had to do was fish and watch scenery. Had a great time fishing with Easy-E. He helped me beat my personal best pike limit, 20 minutes in no less. Then went and caught some rainbow trout one right after the other. Awesome company aswell with great conversations. Wasn't a single dull moment
Excellent time out fishing with Erik! I called Erik up and told him i had a 8 and 9 year old i wanted to get out fishing. He had plan for big bull blue gills and some nice rainbows. It was a terrific day and the kids caught fish nonstop. Erik was busy and showed tremendous patients in working with and teaching kids. Excellent time lots of nice fish.

I would highly recommend hiring Eric as a guide for your next fishing trip. He is patient, knowledgeable and a great guy. He puts you on the fish and takes care of everything. I have used numerous guides over the years and he is one of the best I have had.In June my family and I had a half day fishing trip with Erik. I wasn't sure how much we could really catch in 4 hours but our time with him did not disappoint. We were catching crappie, perch and huge bluegill. Our son was even able to reel in his best catch ever, with a 32.5 inch northern pike. Erik was a great guide and we all really enjoyed our time spent out on the lake with him.

Erik and I talked about a trip where he could teach me how to use a scope at the Sioux Falls Sportsman's Show. I booked for June at Lake Angostura. I sat upfront with him and the technology. We had a blast watching the fish react, and in many instances not react to our baits. We limited on walleyes and found a few slab crappies who were willing to cooperate. The guy knows the lake like the back of his hand. In two days we completely covered the lake's underwater structure and focused on submerged trees. I learned a lot about technology, the lake and multiple presentations. Erik is professional, courteous, and committed to getting you on the fish. Whether they bite is still up to the fish! Highly recommend from a solo educational trip to a leisurely family trip. Well done Erik!
